Max Effort

Started off our session today with 10x 100m sprints at max effort every minute then went into 2 strength circuits.  Even though the total distance covered by todays sprinting was just over 1/2 mile it really took its toll on the athletes.  30 minutes later they were still feeling the effects of the running.

I don't have my athletes do long slow distance in our sessions because they don't need a coach for that.  LSD is great for training the body for recovery and mental stamina.  Our program is designed to built powerful athletes and high intensity sprinting is something that should be included in your training.  If you are a soldier this could be the most important thing you can train physically, it could be the difference of life or death.

Besides..........I hear zombies get tired after 100m.
