We finished this effort in just over 40 minutes. This was a total kick in the balls. I had modified the www.militaryathlete.com Lab Rat session since my foot was kinda beat up and I think I would have rather ran the 60 minutes at threshold pace + countdown then do what we did.
Most single mode endurance sessions require 2+ hours of training. Many of my athletes who are cyclists spend enough time on a bike to warrant a part time job. The idea with the gym based stamina is that we are jamming 2-3 hours of training into a 60 minute session. These sessions are super high in volume and intensity and require some 2x day sessions. My body is looking forward to the rest this week.
