Wednesday - Strength

"Good for both snatches"
Objective: Strength

Warmup: 4 rounds
3x snatch grip deadlift
3x muscle snatch
3x overhead squat
200m run

1) 8 rounds
3x snatch increase wgt until difficult but doable
3x shoulder smash

2) 6 rounds
5x front squat - DBD (difficult but doable)
3x broad jump
instep stretch

3) 6 rounds
8x curl 2 press @ 25
8x renegade row each side @ 35
6x ankle to bar

Comments:
Had some athletes with knee injuries and didn't want to beat them up anymore so they did the above session.  Classic Strength here. 

Still haven't decided how much I like teaching new athletes a full Olympic snatch.  I have a Olympic coach from Belarus who teaches me, and I love every minute of it.  Downside is that its so technical.  It seems to be more "practice" then heavy lifting.  I had mixed results today.  Some picked it up quickly and others struggled.  Either way it's fun throwing something new in the mix.
